Costal Foraging

Food Foraging Guided Walks.

Guided by marine biologist Frances Gallagher, you will discover life on the rocky shores of the ring of Cork, much of it edible!

Sea Spinach, algae, wild herbs and berries are only some of the few resources you’ll discover how to identify and how to use in your kitchen!

This talk will focus on how to identify and forage edible seaweed from the Irish shore. You’ll learn about the deliciousness and nutritional aspects of seaweed and how to integrate them in your daily diet.

Great discovery tour for groups and families during your stay.

If you want to join the foraging walks as part of your Ancient East trail you can add them on while you are booking your stay in the yurt.

Fees: 25euro x adult & 15 euro x kid, min 2 people
Foraging walks depend on weather and low tide times
